lyrics
Part one
Painful, rainy, insane hours
This city, reigned by insane cowards
Lonely soul, where have you pondered
I've wondered, where you've been
This loft we share, we've sure conjured
An appetite for tasteful sin
New friends and older strangers
Some of the best I've ever seen
A newer friend, a newer stranger
His name is Jim
Before I go on, I must describe this man named Jim
Thick, long, curly, black hair
A full beard almost...forest-like
Hiding his childish grin
A pretty face, a second face, a mask faced with the problems within
Tired eyes, brown, forever staring in thought
Staring at the problems it brought
There is one situation I remember in particular:
The sky where a roof once stood
I asked him
Jim, what do I do if the drops never stop raining in?
"Don't worry about it man", he says, soft spoken
"You pull the blanket over your face
It's like lying in warm embrace with your closest lover"
A man I know, will always love, for what he means to me
Until the end, what was that he said
Drinking Ends All Dreams
DEAD
A lifetime, yet only 27 years to live
To leave this place before betraying
Up and down you go
Falling ever deeper
The higher you fly, the easier it is to see him
The harder the fall, the more you want to give in
Death smiles
And in the candlelit river you decide to swim
Painful, rainy, insane hours
This city, reigned by insane cowards
Lonely soul, where have you pondered
I've wondered, where you've been
This loft we share, we've sure conjured
An appetite for tasteful sin
New friends and older strangers
Some of the best I've ever seen
A newer friend, a newer stranger
His name is Jim
Old friend, shouldn't you be dead?
I can still recall the last words you said
